As our physical and digital worlds become intertwined, Siemens is supporting cities to use these connections to realise their advantages.
Digitalization will enable cities to realize opportunities and face challenges. For each of the featured cities we have created a Digitalization Readiness and Potential score to rate how prepared cities are for a connected future, and show what opportunities they have to transform. The scores out of 10 compare and interpret the data produced by each city, which we have collated together from a range of sources.
Chosen themes of Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity reflect Expo 2020 Dubai, a model of best practice in demonstrating their importance to cities.
While the potential and readiness of each city will reflect their unique challenges, what they have in common is their effort to use digital transformation as an opportunity for lasting positive change.
